Chances are, as we head into a three-day weekend, courtesy of that wrongfully beloved explorer Christopher Columbus, you're already in very good spirits today. Nighttime plans have been set, refrigerators have been stocked with cold booze, and matinee screenings of Steve Jobs and Sicario have been secured. But guess what? The weekend’s best thing has nothing to do with any of that. It's a glorious 150 seconds that will be on repeat starting minutes from now and all the way through Tuesday, if not beyond.

Like some kind of unexpected gift from the cinematic gods, the first trailer for the Coen Bros.' latest film, Hail, Caesar!, has just miraculously surfaced online, and it's, in a word, divine. The filmmaking siblings' last two projects, the screenplays for Angelina Jolie's Unbroken and Steven Spielberg's Bridge of Spies, haven't exactly been uppers, but, thankfully, they’re back in their hilariously zany Burn After Reading, with a large dose of Barton Fink thrown in for good measure. Josh Brolin stars as Eddie Mannix, a Hollywood "fixer" in the '50s—in other words, he's the film industry's Olivia Pope. As he mysteriously starts receiving letters "from the future," Mannix is tasked with finding Baird Whitlock (George Clooney) after the eccentric actor's gone missing from the set of a sword-and-sandals Roman Empire production.

Although it's a comedy, Hail, Caesar!'s cast is no joke. Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum co-star as a pair of hotshot Hollywood actors, each continuing their respective anti-superhero movie hot streaks—Johansson with Under the Skin and Lucy, Tatum with the excellent Magic Mike XXL. Tilda Swinton, whose presence instantly upgrades whatever film she's in, plays a gossip columnist; Jonah Hill, capitalizing on the momentum from his Quentin Tarantino (Django Unchained) and Martin Scorsese (The Wolf of Wall Street) collaborations, appears as a cuddly punching bag for Johansson's character. And, despite his absence in this trailer, Dolph Lundgren, perhaps the Coens' least likely casting choice to date, is also on board as a Soviet "submarine commander." Which is amazing.

So go ahead, watch the above Hail, Caesar! trailers on endless loop for the rest of the weekend. You should also show it to your friends while you're only pounding back Coronas and toasting to the upcoming shortened work week. Then, remind each other to clear your schedules on February 5, 2016, when Hail, Caesar! opens theatrically.
