Revealed: The 2013 TFF Artists Awards

Every year, twelve artists honor Tribeca Film Festival winners with their artwork. Join us in celebrating the artists of the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival Artists Awards Program, sponsored by Chanel.

Revealed: The 2013 TFF Artists Awards

The 2013 Tribeca Film Festival, presented by American Express, not only celebrates film culture but also recognizes leading artists who are part of the New York art scene. In keeping with TFF co-founder Jane Rosenthal’s ambition to support all types of artists (not just filmmakers), each festival year twelve local artists donate artwork that will be awarded to festival filmmakers whose films are selected by the TFF jury as winners in their respective categories.

This is an especially auspicious year for the Tribeca Film Festival Artists Awards Program, sponsored by Chanel. The participating artists include Stephen Hannock, David Kratz, Curtis Kulig, Gillian Laub, Robert Longo, Angelina Nasso, Erik Parker, Jose Parla, Joyce Pensato, Clifford Ross, William Wegman and Dustin Yellin, all of whom are among the finest contemporary artists in the world, let alone New York City.

As is tradition, their works will be exhibited without charge by the New York Academy of Art at 111 Franklin Street in Manhattan leading up to and during the Festival. Art enthusiasts, movie lovers, culture vultures and everyone in between can view these pieces from 11am to 7pm everyday from April 3rd to the 24th before they are presented at the Tribeca Film Festival Awards Ceremony on the evening of April 25th.

Scroll down and take a look at all the fabulous artwork that will soon be on display.
