Daryl Wein's 'Let's Get Digital' and Your Part in The Mobile Movement

TFF alum Daryl Wein has joined AT&T for short film series The Network Diaries, inspired by your very own mobile technology endeavors.

TFF Alum Daryl Wien (Lola Versus) and 2014 Tribeca Film Festival presenting sponsor AT&T have teamed up for an installment of The Network Diaries, a short film series part of The Mobile Movement – a showcase about how young Americans communicate through mobile technology and social networking platforms.

Daryl Wein’s Let’s Get Digital features Lola Versus star Zoe-Lister Jones, Veronica Mars' Ryan Hansen, and Jon Heder. The short is a comedic reenactment of how real-life California couple Matt and Sophie met while they were on a double date with their significant others. After their current relationships ended, their shared love of lightning bolt emojis and Shrampton the Cat (who even makes a cameo) keep them connected, along with the help from their wireless appendages – their smartphones.

Let’s Get Digital wittily pokes fun at the millennial obsession with Internet culture and how the virtual world of memes, web personalities, and of course technology itself helps us connect in ways we wouldn’t have otherwise.

Check out the rest of the short film series and see how you can have your story told by The Mobile Movement
