Amy Poehler's Hilarious Super Bowl Ad: Directed by Oscar Nom Bryan Buckley

TFF 2012 alum Bryan Buckley ("ASAD") helmed one of the most talked-about commercials from this year’s Superbowl featuring an inquisitive Amy Poehler tormenting a Best Buy employee.

Amy Poehler's Hilarious Super Bowl Ad: Directed by Oscar Nom Bryan Buckley

Before Bryan Buckley began making short features like ASAD (Winner- Best Narrative Short at TFF 2012), he already was established as one of the most sought-after directors for high profile commercials (including Super Bowl advertising spots), earning the Director of the Decade by Adweek in 2009. His past Super Bowl commercials have included ads for Audi, Bud Light, FedEx, E-trade and more.

For the 2012 Super Bowl, Buckley re-teamed with Best Buy for a hilarious spot featuring comedy genius Amy Poehler and one very patient Best Buy employee. Check out the extended cut here.

The Super Bowl is not the only event that Buckley will be involved with in February. The director/writer will soon be preparing for Oscar night as a nominee in the Best Live Action Short category for ASAD. During the film’s world premiere screening at TFF 2012, the Tribeca team had the opportunity to peek into a day in the life of the New York-bred writer/director.

Watch as Buckley speaks about his long road to Tribeca, the supportive collaboration between filmmakers and audiences and his plans to spread the word about ASAD post-Festival. Full video coming soon.
