Are you a burgeoning non-fiction filmmaker for whom sports and cinema are equally important?

Applications are now being accepted for the Tribeca Film Institute/ESPN Future Filmmaker Prize, which awards three, graduate-level media-makers who are "devoted to creating short-form documentaries highlighting the exceptionally creative work of an athletic community or organization that is working towards solving social issues in the United States or around the world."

The prize seeks to support the next generation of creative, sports-driven, socially-conscious filmmakers with a $25,000 production grant, as well as professional guidance and mentorship from TFI staff and select media professionals.

Submit here until July 5th. And take a look at this extensive list of other grants and opportunities for documentary storytellers, provided by the International Documentary Association (IDA).
