TFF2014 Boxing Doc Comes to iTunes Today

Good news for boxing fans still feeling let down by the Mayweather-Pacquiao bout!

Juan Pablo Cadaveira's excellent boxing documentary Maravilla, a 2014 Tribeca Film Festival alum, arrives today on iTunes, after making its international premiere as part of Tribeca's 2014 ESPN Sports Festival.

The film, which has been widely and warmly embraced by the boxing community, documents the undaunted efforts of the Argentinian boxer Sergio "Maravilla" Martinez to reclaim the Middleweight title that was snatched from him in 2011 by Julio Chavez, Jr., his more popular rival. Centered around a sports figure who inspires both awe and antipathy among boxing fans, Maravilla is a unique underdog story that doesn't sacrifice electrifying competitive payoffs in its clear and politically-astute look at the iffy international business of boxing.

In addition to iTunes, the film is also available for purchase and streaming on select cable operators, as well as Google Play, Netflix, PlayStation Network, YouTube, Vudu, Amazon Instant Video, and Xbox (US and Canada only).

Check out the trailer above and prepare to see a real "Fight of the Century" that will excite cineastes and sports fans alike.
