Watch Penn Badgley Sing Tim Buckley’s Famous Version of ‘Once I Was’

Tackling a music icon is a challenging task for any actor, but Penn Badgley makes it look easy in this clip from ‘Greetings From Tim Buckley.’

Greetings From Tim Buckley pays a moving tribute to one of music’s most famous family lineages—the Buckleys. Struggling to deal with the legacy of his father, Jeff Buckley (Badgely) agrees to perform at the famed St. Ann’s Church in Brooklyn at a  show honoring  the man he barely knew. As Jeff explores New York City and begins to grow artistically, the parallels between his present journey and that of his father in the 1960s become clear in this poignant portrait of two men who were among the most beloved singer/songwriters of their respective generations.

In this clip, Penn Badgely performs Jeff Buckley’s legendary version of one of his father’s most famous songs, ‘Once I Was,’ which proved to be a turning point in the careers of both men.
