Parting of the series, Closely Watched Trains: 'Traveling Light' + Trains on Film, Director Josef von Sternberg and cinematographer Lee Garmes construct a narrative based on how the main characters obstruct light when moving through cars on a train. This incredibly avant-garde cinematic gem is not to be missed, especially when you can see it in 35 mm.

Released the same year Baker was found dead outside his hotel in Amsterdam, this documentary tells the story of a jazz prodigy and American cultural icon. See it this Saturday in 35mm.
