New Tribeca Park Sculpture is a Literal Piece of Trash

If you're passing through Tribeca within the next few months, you may find yourself stoping to stare at a humongous, debris-laden head resting itself right in the middle of Tribeca Park.

Nicolas Holiber's new public art sculpture Head of Goliath is a four-foot-tall human head sculpture inspired by the famed biblical story of David and Goliath and made entirely of garbage and found materials, primarily reclaimed wooden shipping pallets.

The sculpture will be on display through September and will have its own reception in the park on Saturday, May 16th, from 2 PM to 5 PM.

Stop by to see whether or not this glorious garbage art will prove victorious in its battle against the mightiest Goliath of all: Mother Nature.
