Don’t Miss The ‘Nas: Time Is Illmatic’ Trailer

“I had a passion for music and that was gonna be my out.” Music and film fans alike will enjoy the first trailer for the TFF 2014 hit, ‘Nas: Time Is Illmatic.’

I had to block that hate out or tear it down.

One of the most memorable events from this year’s Tribeca Film Festival was our Opening Night  world premiere screening of Nas: Time Is Illmatic, followed by a concert from Nas himself. If you couldn’t be there for that incredible night, not to worry. Tribeca Film will be releasing the music documentary in select theaters nationwide on October 1 and on VOD/digital platforms on October 3.

To tide you over, we’re pleased to bring you the first trailer for Nas: Time Is Illmatic. Directed by One9 and written by Erik Parker, the film celebrates the twentieth anniversary of Nas’s groundbreaking debut album ‘Illmatic’ and explores its lasting impact on the music industry. Audiences will hear directly from Nas’s family, friends and peers (like Pharrell Williams and Alicia Keys) about his transformation from a young street poet to hip hop icon.
