Most importantly, what are the movies???

The Runway
Thursday, July 12 @ Caesars Beach, Sundown
RT: 90 min
Dir. Ian Power
Cast: Demián Bichir, Kerry Condon

In this charming comedy, Oscar-nominee Demián Bichir (A Better Life, “Weeds”) stars as Ernesto, a Colombian pilot whose plane has crashed in a small Irish village. Not able to speak a word of English, a precocious 9-year old boy named Paco, the only one in his town who knows Spanish, becomes his translator. Rewriting Ernesto’s mysterious and questionable past, Paco turns him into a hero and a celebrity, motivating the entire town to rally behind Ernesto to help rebuild his plane. When a seedy Colombian detective arrives and threatens to reveal a dark secret about Ernesto, the town begins to question who they can trust. Inspired by true events, Runway tells the story of a boy needing a father, a man wanting a family, and a town willing to do anything for a hero.

Stella Days
Friday, July 13 @ Caesars Beach, Sundown
RT: 87 min
Dir. Thaddeus O'Sullivan
Cast: Martin Sheen, Stephen Rea, Trystan Gravelle

A small town cinema in rural Ireland in the 1950s becomes the setting for a dramatic struggle between Rome and Hollywood, and a man and his conscience. Martin Sheen (The Departed, The Way, “The West Wing”) stars as Father Daniel Berry in Stella Days, a story about the excitement of the unknown versus the security of the familiar, as those in the town find themselves on the cusp of the modern but still clinging to the traditions of church and a cultural identity forged in very different times.

The Giant Mechanical Man
Saturday, July 14 @ Caesars Beach, Sundown
RT: 94 min
Dir. Lee Kirk
Cast: Jenna Fischer, Chris Messina, Topher Grace, Malin Ackerman, Rich Sommer

Janice (Jenna Fischer from "The Office") is down on her luck. Out of work and living with her well-intentioned but overbearing sister Jill, Janice is struggling to find her way and build a fulfilling life for herself. When she meets Tim, a street performer whose unique talents as a "living statue" don't exactly pay the bills, she recognizes a kindred spirit. As they get to know each other, Janice begins to feel that she has met a like-minded person who could make her happy. But as their connection begins to blossom, Jill's meddling ways threaten to undermine Janice's first real shot at love. Quirky and heartwarming, funny and touching, writer/director Lee Kirk's Giant Mechanical Man is a refreshing look at a woman's desire to assert her independence and find love on her own terms.

388 Arletta Avenue
Sunday, July 15 @ Caesars Beach, Sundown
RT: 86 min
Dir. Randall Cole
Cast: Nick Stahl, Devon Sawa, Mia Kirshner

388 Arletta Avenue is a fresh, subversive take on the found-footage horror genre from the makers of Splice and Cube, a faceless voyeur’s twisted manipulation of a young couple escalates into a deadly cat-and-mouse game, as seen from the perspective of hidden cameras he’s concealed throughout their house.
