Extravaganza mixes 3D animation and live-action footage in a bitingly funny satire. You are a puppet trapped in a stunningly offensive puppet show, performing for a clueless executive (Paul Scheer). Confronted with his obvious blind spots and prejudices, Extravaganza asks: can technology change society for the better, or does it just magnify our worst traits in new ways?

Ethan Shaftel's work bridges cinema, interactive design, and immersive media. He directed Suspension, a sci-fi feature distributed by Warner Bros, plus the award-winning short Flesh Computer. He developed games for Hasbro and Fox, directed video installations for Nike and Disney, and created immersive media for artists such as Rihanna and Beyoncé.
