Twins of Mankala

| USA | 11 MINUTES | English, Kikuyu
How exactly do environments shape us? Twins of Mankala examines this question by comparing a single day of school in the lives of three Kenyan children. One is growing up in Kilo, Kenya, while the other two-twin eight-year-old girls-are being raised in Massachusetts. The children narrate the film in Kikuyu and English, as the differences and similarities of their experiences slowly reveal themselves.
