Impending doom permeates this gothic meditation on anxiety. Found-footage veteran Jay Rosenblatt has created a beautiful and cryptic montage based on Jeanne Marie Beaumont's poem by the same name, which consists of questions to which the response is always "afraid so." Similarly, Rosenblatt's visual poem starts out innocuously, but gradually devolves into a suffocating puzzle with only one possible answer...

A recipient of a Guggenheim and a Rockefeller Fellowship, Jay Rosenblatt has been making films for over 20 years. Many of his works have won numerous awards and screened throughout the world, most notably at New York's Film Forum, which ran a one-week series of his work.
