Cécile Vernant is from Martinique in the French West Indies and now lives in Paris. After earning her graduate degree in English and American literature, she worked as an actress and wrote and directed the award-winning short films Spin the Bottle, European Film Awards nominee The Dinner, and Once Upon a Time … Sasha and Desire.
