The brilliantly written and directed crime drama from Michael Mann follows master criminal Neil McCauley (Robert De Niro) as he pulls off a series of heists in LA. In pursuit of McCauley is the obsessive Lieutenant Vincent Hanna (Al Pacino). Both men at the same time are dealing with upheavals in their personal lives and form mutual respect even as they try to derail each other’s plans.

Currently, Linson is an executive producer with John Linson on the tv series Sons of Anarchy and the mega hit Yellowstone.

He is a four-time Academy Award® nominee, two-time Emmy®-winner and recipient of WGA, DGA and BAFTA Awards as a director, producer and writer. His filmography includes The Jericho Mile, Thief, Manhunter, The Last of the Mohicans, Collateral, Heat, Ali, The Insider, Black Hat and the iconic series Miami Vice and Crime Story and most recently the pilot of Tokyo Vice. The publishing date for his debut novel, Heat Two is August 9th, 2022.

Actor and director Al Pacino was born in East Harlem and grew up in New York City’s South Bronx. He attended the School of Performing Arts until he moved on to study acting at the Herbert Berghof Studio with Charles Laughton, and later, at the Actors Studio with Lee Strasberg. His first leading part in a feature film was in the 1971 drama Panic in Needle Park. The following year, Francis Ford Coppola selected him to take on the breakthrough role of Michael Corleone in The Godfather, for which he was nominated for an Academy Award®.
