TONY N' TINA'S WEDDING
The wedding day -- the happiest day of any young couple's life. But there is so much to plan for. Gown? Check. Rings? Check. Neurotic, overbearing mother of the bride who hates the groom's family? Check. Hire one gay videographer to capture your precious moments forever and you have Tony N' Tina's Wedding. On a beautiful spring day, Tony Nunzio and Tina Vitale are joined together in holy matrimony on Long Island. At the lavish reception, Tony and Tina bask in the afterglow as the guests feast in celebration. Everything seems great. But add a little vino to the mix and all that celebrating turns into pure dysfunctional family chaos. Fuel is only added to the fire when Tina's heartbroken ex-boyfriend crashes the party and the videographer flirts with her closeted brother. Tony and Tina's nice white wedding is quickly turning into a nightmare. Writer/director Roger Paradiso has seamlessly moved this hit, interactive play from off-Broadway onto the big screen. The perfectly cast ensemble adapts to the verité style of the film without losing the original theatrical feel. From the walk down the aisle to the cutting of the multi-tiered cake, Tony N' Tina's Wedding is a wildly fun party filled with big hair, big personalities, and big songs from the 1980's.
