As an extension of the New Media Fund, currently in its inaugural year, the Tribeca Film Institute teamed up with SilverDocs to present a Transmedia Lab at the Festival. Six filmmaking teams, including the excellent likes of Steve James (The Interrupters) and Amir Bar-lev (The Tillman Story), came up with cross-platform pitches that would provide an interactive extension to their existing documentary projects. Advising them were mentors able to lend their expertise in the worlds of gaming, HTML5, social media and beyond.

Both presentations from the mentor and the filmmakers' pitches were streamed online for audiences around the world to watch and vote on their favorites. The videos below are a sampling of that afternoon. Find out more about the presenters and the filmmakers here.
