Watch the 'Beneath the Harvest Sky' Trailer

The consequences of two friends' actions threaten their relationship as harvest season returns.

Documentary filmmakers Aron Gaudet and Gita Pullapilly return to Gaudet's home state of Maine for their first narrative feature, Beneath the Harvest Sky. Starring The Place Beyond the Pines' Emory Cohen, and marked by raw, powerful performances, this coming-of-age-drama looks at how we grow apart from the places and the people that define us.

Two friends, though fiercely devoted to each other, are pulled in opposite directions during the potato harvesting season in their sleepy Northern Maine town. Casper (Cohen) begins smuggling drugs, while Dominic (Callan McAuliffe) tries to make enough money to leave town forever. With little but their past keeping them together, Casper and Dominic must decide whether they will allow the other to influence their future.

Beneath the Harvest Sky will screen at TFF 2014. If you can't make it to this year's festival, watch it on cable VOD and digital platforms starting April 15th, and in select theaters on May 2nd
