A Bonkers, Eighties-Inspired, Half-Hour Kung-Fu B-Movie May be This Weekend's Must-Watch

If seeing The Rock save a crumbling earth or watching Attractive White People frolic around Hawaii isn't to your liking then your best bet for movie-watching this weekend might very well be a blast from the past, located within the comfort of your computer screen.

Kung Fury is the highly inventive, unabashedly insane, yet infinitely rewarding brain child of Swedish writer-director David Sandberg, who raised over $600,000 on Kickstarter to help make this hilariously loving homage to the overblown kung-fu B-movie.

The film, which stars Sandberg himself as a Miami-based kung-fu master, is a glorious grab bag of stylistic influences and bizarre references. Why choose when you can have vikings and dinosaurs? Arcade games and police procedurals? Adolf Hitler and David Hasselhoff? This shit is either bananas or else an inevitable cult masterpiece. Either way, you're at least mildly intrigued. And that's a hell of a lot more than Cameron Crowe can say.

Check the marquee to watch the full film in all of its shlocky, side-splitting, Hasselhoff-singing glory!
