Broadway Kids Care is an organization founded in February 2007 by Kelly Gonda, president of East of Doheny. Broadway Kids Care (BKC) brings together the children from current and past Broadway shows providing them with the opportunity to perform community outreach and foster a philanthropic sensibility. The children of BKC experience life from a unique perspective and are able to bring their considerable energy and talent to the activities of BKC. BKC also strives to create a sense of community and camaraderie among the young actors and their families.

Judy Pancoast


The children’s recording artist, Judy Pancoast, is again bringing her outrageously fun live concert to the Tribeca Family Festival Street Fair. No matter how many times she’s performed them, Judy can’t get away without singing some of her best loved songs. “I always get requests for 'Swimming in Jello,' 'Stinky Feet,' or 'One Big Eyeball.' Boys, especially, love that eyeball,” revealed Pancoast.


Judy lives in New Hampshire. She regularly tours the US and has performed twice for a president of the United States. Among her New York concerts in 2005 were the New York Tribeca Film Festival, and a return engagement at the “Kids for Kids” Festival for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation.

The Maestrosities


We are The Maestrosities (pronounced: my-STRAW-cities)--a musical act featuring a cast of colorful characters.  Our front man, The Maestro is a very self-absorbed ukulele player.   His snooty ex-girlfriend, Deirdre plays the clarinet and sings whenever she can get an aria in edgewise.  Then there's Princess Penny, the diminutive diva on accordion, Louis, the nerdy trumpet player, Aldo "The Gorilla" --loose-cannon spoon player, and the soft-spoken tuba player.  His name is Chauncey.

Murray Street Studio's Dance for Children and Teenagers Program provides instruction in Modern Ballet for children ages 5-16 and Creative Movement for ages 3-5. Also included in our program is Choreography Workshop classes for ages 8-16 in which students create their own dances for presentation in the yearly recital and Performance Workshop for students who wish to perform when we are invited to festivals and showcases for young dance groups in addition to our studio recital. Music for Aardvarks


It’s no exaggeration to say that Weinstone has changed the musical geography of New York. As creator of the Music for Aardvarks classes that take place all over the five boroughs and across the country, his music has gotten thousands of tiny toes tapping and launched at least one major singing career. PUPPETRONICS is a "Hands On" Traveling Exhibition of Life-Sized Marionettes. The public is invited to pull the strings and become the puppeteer. The installation can have anywhere from ten to fifty puppets and can be set up in any size space.  This exhibition has been in over 35 museums and public spaces in the United States, Canada, and England.


PUPPETRONICS is the creation of director Ronnie Asbell. She has designed and built over one hundred hand, rod, body, and marionette puppets for more than twenty years. In addition to her own performances and exhibitions, she designs for the theater and custom designs for individuals. Over the years they have danced and delighted both children and adults at Lincoln Center, Citicorp, Boston Museum of Science, Tribeca Film Festival, Central Park Conservancy,

Brian Selznick

In the Tribeca Film Center (375 Greenwich Street) at 2pm, Brian Selznick, the author and illustrator of The Invention of Hugo Cabret (2008 Caldecott Medal winner and #1 New York Times bestseller) will give a special multi-media presentation about how he created his unique book. The presentation is followed by a rare screening of two amazing films by Georges Méliès, the cinema pioneer who was Brian's inspiration and who became a central character in the story. These films, The Man With the Rubber Head (1901), and A Trip to the Moon (1902) will have live musical accompaniment by acclaimed accordionist Guy Klucevsek. A Q&A and book signing will follow the event. Recommended for ages 8 and up.

The Transfiguration Elementary School, which enrolls 260 students in grades 1 - 8, was founded in 1832. Tribeca Fun Squad


The Tribeca Fun Squad is a group of interactive performers working together to turn lower Manhattan into a one of a kind family friendly party.  Dressed in colorful logo shirts and ball caps they will roam the Tribeca Family Film Festival Street Fair leaving entertainment and fun in their wake.  They will also provide entertainment at the Main Stage, South Stage and Franklin Street Stage on a per need's basis providing us with the flexibility to offer entertainment wherever our guest's need are best served.  Games, contests, dancing, singing and comedy will erupt throughout the Street Fair as our Fun Squad roams looking for opportunities to delight the crowd.

The USA Shaolin Temple carries on the traditions and training of the illustrious Shaolin Temple in Henan, China and was founded by 34th generation Shaolin Temple Fighting Monk, Shifu Shi Yan Ming. Located in New York City, the USA Shaolin Temple unites the East and West in its message of spreading Chan Philosophy to the world. Very few words are needed to understand this profound message--the Temple's heartfelt slogan of "More Chi. Train Harder." gives a special resonance in the face of Shaolin Training.

Xanadu follows the journey of a magical and beautiful Greek muse, Kira, who descends from the heavens of Mt. Olympus to Venice Beach, California in 1980 on a quest to inspire a struggling artist, Sonny, to achieve the greatest artistic creation of all time - the first ROLLER DISCO…hey, it's 1980! But, when Kira falls into forbidden love with the mortal Sonny, her jealous sisters take advantage of the situation and chaos abounds.
