Tribeca x Nitehawk's LOCAL COLOR Screening Series Continues with TFF Cult Favorite

It’s the Tribeca Film Festival in September! After a sold-out kick-off and rowdy afterparty in August with APPLESAUCE, Tribeca and Nitehawk’s monthly series LOCAL COLOR continues this Tuesday, September 22nd with a special presentation of TFF cult favorite YOUNG BODIES HEAL QUICKLY.

Directed by Andrew T. Betzer and produced by Christine Vachon, this uncategorizeable debut film follows two brothers on a bizarre and mysterious road trip. Reviews have invoked words like “curious and furious” (New York Times), “beauty and surprise” (Village Voice), and “violence and tenderness” (New Yorker), while Indiewire simply called it “one of the oddest movies to ever play the Tribeca Film Festival.

The screening will take place at 7:30pm, and will be followed by an in-person Q&A with Betzer and members of his film team, and will be moderated by Tribeca Senior Programmer Cara Cusumano. After the Q&A, head downstairs to the Nitehawk’s Lo-Res bar for an informal afterparty with the filmmakers.

Tickets for the one night only event are now available here.

And don’t forget to check out the menu of indie-themed food and drinks you can enjoy in the theater during the film!
