90's TGIF TV Hangover

No matter how old we are, we'll always be thankful for Fridays. TV Hangover's monthly events at Videology certainly celebrate Fridays as well- and this time they'll be screening 90s classics like Boy Meets World, Clueless, and Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
Harmony Korine: Shooters

Controversial filmmaker Harmony Korine (Kids, Spring Breakers) is exploring a different medium through his exhibition "Shooters" at the Gagosian Gallery. Korine's pieces still exude the same sense of mixed media and spontanaeity that he applies to his films, and are definitely something to see this weekend. The exhibition is open through July 11.
The Big Lebowski
IFC Center at Midnight

Go hangout with The Dude this weekend, and take advantage of IFC Center's screening of The Big Lebowski. If you've never gotten the chance to The Dude, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing, this is the perfect way to take in all the Coen Brothers' 90s cult classic.

Coney Island Mermaid Parade

Come and check out this New York tradition, and release your inner mermaid! The annual Coney Island Mermaid Parade is finally here, and is definitely a sight to see. The event will feature mermaids, mermen, fictional sea creatures, Chiara De Blasio, Nathans Hotdogs, and live music!

Re-live your childhood with a little extra kick at Nitehawk's Spoons Toons and Booze brunch this Sunday. The theater will be showing cartoons from the 30s to the 90s starting 11:30 am, where you can enjoy an all you can eat cereal buffet and wash down with a White Russian.
