Phenoms chronicles the journeys of the next great soccer players as they quest to represent their respective countries in the 2018 FIFA World Cup™. With its unprecedented behind-the-scenes access, the series allows fans and viewers to experience the personal lives of players as they vye for spots on their nations’ teams. “The Goalkeepers,” which showcases the personalities, relationships and mental toughness of a team’s last line of defense, provides an unbridled examination of players Aleksandr Selikhov of Russia, Gastón Guruceaga of Uruguay, Jack Butland of England, and Alphonse Areola of France.

Arbi Pedrossian

Arbi Pedrossian is the Creative Executive of Fox Digital Studio where he plays a key role in the creative development and production of the studio's in-house and partnership content. Since joining the company in 2009, Pedrossian has helped create a wide range of content including the award winning short series Bite Size Horror (2017) and features Mono (2016) and Tenured (2015); the later of which made its premiere at Tribeca in 2015 . He is currently one of the lead producers on the international soccer documentary series Phenoms, slated to release this May.

Jeff Zimbalist

Jeff and Michael Zimbalist are Emmy®- and Peabody Award-winning writers, directors, producers, and editors, whose films have been broadcast on HBO, Netflix, CBS, ESPN, and Showtime and theatrically distributed worldwide. Their past films include The Two Escobars, Favela Rising, and Pelé: Birth of a Legend.

Michael Zimbalist

David Brooks

David Worthen Brooks began his career as an award-winning editor and screenwriter working with directors such as Ridley Scott, Spike Jonze, and Baz Luhrman. He has since been recognized for his creative work by D&AD, London International Film Festival, and the Clios. Today, David oversees Fox Digital Studio as the EVP & Senior Executive Creative Director. While under David’s leadership, Fox Digital Studio has cultivated unique, story based partnerships with top industry leaders like National Geographic, MARS Candy, and NASA. Fox Digital Studio continues to be recognized by top tier festivals such as Cannes, Sundance, Tribeca and SXSW.

Mario Melchiot

Mario soccer career started thanks to his older brother Winston. At 9 years old, Mario made the Ajax Youth Team after only two games. Mario made his first team debut in 1996 against A.C. Milan. After Ajax, he went on to play for clubs like Chelsea, Rennes, and Birmingham City. Mario has had the honor of representing The Netherlands multiple times in competition. Mario now works with Fox Sports USA and appears on several international sports talk shows. Mario is currently producing for television—his debut show Phenoms is being shot across twenty countries following sixty young soccer stars.

Chris Perkel

Born and raised in the Bronx, Chris Perkel is best known for directing and editing Clive Davis: The Soundtrack of Our Lives, last year's opening night film at Tribeca and winner of the Critics' Choice Award for Best Music Documentary. 2017 also saw the release of Foreman, his definitive portrait of legendary boxer and pitchman George Foreman for Epix and Universal. His current project, Phenoms, a five-part docu-series for Fox, spans 60 players across 20 countries to reveal the next generation of soccer greats.

Thomas Verrette

Thomas Verrette is a director, producer, and editor in Los Angeles. As an editor, he is best known for the feature film Parallels, released on Netflix. He also produced and edited the promo campaigns for multiple seasons of the critically-acclaimed series Kingdom, as well as Ice, Rogue, and many others. Thomas is currently producing the five-part docu-series, Phenoms. He is also the editor of the episode: The Goalkeepers.

Jane Hicks

Jane Hicks started her career as a professional dancer and actress in theatre and television in the UK and abroad. When injury forced her retirement from the stage and screen, she retrained and embarked upon a successful career as a journalist for national and international newspapers and magazines. Jane subsequently transferred her skills in print journalism to the moving image. For the past 14 years she has developed a career as a multi-award winning filmmaker with a variety of documentaries including: The Jacksons Are Coming, Sex Change Soldier, Graffiti Wars and Gascoigne.

RUSH SALES POLICY

When tickets for a screening or event are no longer available, they will be listed as RUSH. The Rush system functions as a stand-by line that will form at the venue approximately 45 minutes prior to scheduled start time. Admittance is based on availability and will begin 15 minutes prior to program start time. Rush Tickets are the same price as advance tickets payable upon entry. There is a limit of one Rush Ticket per person.
