Iris (Juno Temple) and Catherine (Julia Garner), college –age childhood friends, reunite for a humid New England Summer to help each other cope with the unimaginable. As they attempt to enjoy the usual vacation hijinks- parties and skinny-dipping and sexual adventure- a shared trauma in their past becomes increasingly difficult to suppress. As the hot summer wears on, the two young women continue to be haunted by their memories, and find that their shared experience begins to drive them even further apart. Each seeks refuge in a forbidden affair- Catherine to an former crush turned enemy, and Iris to her older, married college advisor at a crossroads of his own (Alessandro Nivola).

One of the most prolific female voices working today in film and television, Liz W. Garcia is currently writing the final installment in the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Garcia’s directorial debut, The Lifeguard, which she also wrote and produced, premiered in competition at Sundance in 2013.
When tickets for a screening or event are no longer available, they will be listed as RUSH. The Rush system functions as a stand-by line that will form at the venue approximately 45 minutes prior to scheduled start time. Admittance is based on availability and will begin 15 minutes prior to program start time. Rush Tickets are the same price as advance tickets payable upon entry. There is a limit of one Rush Ticket per person.
