After the screening: A conversation with co-creator, director, and host Derek Waters, co-creator and director Jeremy Konner, and other special guests. Each screening ticket provides access to two (2) complimentary drink tickets.
Jeremy Konner is a director of music videos, commercials, television and film, born and based in Los Angeles. His work includes commercials for Honda, music videos for She & Him and Tenacious D, as well as comedy segments for HBO and Jimmy Kimmel Live. He received the Best US Short Film award at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival, for Drunk History: Douglass & Lincoln. Additionally, he co-created the series Ghost Ghirls with producer Jack Black for Yahoo!.
Derek Waters is an actor, as well as the creator and host of Emmy-winning Drunk History on Comedy Central (Waters has also earned an Emmy-nomination for directing). The unique show, which is currently in production on its sixth season, began as a series of online shorts that garnered millions of views on Funny or Die and YouTube. Drunk History: Douglass & Lincoln, starring Will Ferrell and Don Cheadle, premiered at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival and won The Jury Prize for Best American Short. In addition, Waters produced the documentary Only the Young which won the audience award at the AFI Festival in Los Angeles and played at the Austin Film Festival. He is originally from Baltimore, Maryland.
When tickets for a screening or event are no longer available, they will be listed as RUSH. The Rush system functions as a stand-by line that will form at the venue approximately 45 minutes prior to scheduled start time. Admittance is based on availability and will begin 15 minutes prior to program start time. Rush Tickets are the same price as advance tickets payable upon entry. There is a limit of one Rush Ticket per person.
