In this satirical comedy about romance, terrorism, and trying to be a better person, Iranian-born Rita Mahtoubian is inspired to change her life after a neighbor’s Rosh Hashanah dinner ignites a spark of inspiration. Her mission to make big changes attracts the attention of an overly-invested Homeland Security agent.

Julia Lerman and Roja Gashtili are current fellows at AFI’s Directing Workshop for Women. They are recipients of the Tribeca All Access grant. This summer they will be releasing K(id) a comedic existential web series about breaking up with yourself.
When tickets for a screening or event are no longer available, they will be listed as RUSH. The Rush system functions as a stand-by line that will form at the venue approximately 45 minutes prior to scheduled start time. Admittance is based on availability and will begin 15 minutes prior to program start time. Rush Tickets are the same price as advance tickets payable upon entry. There is a limit of one Rush Ticket per person.
