TWINS OF MANKALA

Directed by Jason DaSilva and Ben Thompson
SHORT DOCUMENTARY 11 Minutes World Premiere
FILM GUIDE TWINS OF MANKALA
How exactly do environments shape us? Twins of Mankala examines this question by comparing a single day of school in the lives of three Kenyan children. One is growing up in Kilo, Kenya, while the other two-twin eight-year-old girls-are being raised in Massachusetts. The children narrate the film in Kikuyu and English, as the differences and similarities of their experiences slowly reveal themselves.
