SHORTS IN COMPETITION: NARRATIVE

THIS WILL ALL MAKE PERFECT SENSE SOMEDAY

Directed by Long-Cuu Phan
SHORT NARRATIVE 15 Minutes New York Premiere
FILM GUIDE THIS WILL ALL MAKE PERFECT SENSE SOMEDAY
A young man, days before he is to leave for art school in Japan, meets his perfect girl. He's eager to confess his immediate, undeniable love for her, except he doesn't know what to say or how to say it. In the end, he does nothing, and he never sees her again. The encounter is brief but even years later he is haunted by the thought of what might have been.
About the Director(s)
Long-Cuu Phan (b. 1980, Hong Kong) studied American literature at UCLA and decided to pursue filmmaking over law after watching Alain Resnais' Hiroshima mon amour. He previously directed Same Time Last Year and is now working on a collection of short films and two feature scripts.
Special Note

Note: This film will screen as part of the Shorts: Mixed Feelings program.
