During Super Bowl XLII , the Giants met with the New England Patriots who were undefeated going into the NFL finale. With two minutes left in the game, just when it looked like Giants Quarterback Eli Manning would go down, he spotted David Tyree, a veteran special teams player, down the field and went deep, setting up one of the most renowned plays in football history. After the screening, Spike Lee, Chris Snee, Plaxico Burress and David Tyree will discuss the play in question and sports fandom with ESPN's NFL reporter Michael Smith.

Spike Lee
Spike Lee is a Writer-Director, Actor, Producer, Author and Educator who has helped revolutionize Modern Black Cinema. In addition to directing box office successes, Lee’s films display his ability to showcase a series of outspoken and provocative Socio-Political critiques that challenge cultural assumptions about race, class and gender identity. An avid Knicks fan, Spike will begin hosting a 1 hour bi-weekly sports-talk Spike Lee’s Best Seat In Da House show featuring discussions on various news and topics concerning basketball and the NBA in January 2014. Lee is the Artistic Director of New York University’s Tisch Graduate Film Program.

David Tyree
David Tyree played college football for Syracuse University where he received a full athletic scholarship. He was drafted in 6th round of the 2003 NFL Draft by the New York Giants. David earned a Pro Bowl selection in 2005 as a special teams player and is best known for his helmet catch on the Giants' final drive of the 2008 Super Bowl XLII, a feat that secured their win over the previously undefeated New England Patriots. David is currently the New York Giants' Director of Player Development.

Plaxico Burress
Plaxico Burress played college football at Michigan State and is a former American football wide receiver. He was drafted by the Steelers eighth overall in the 2000 NFL Draft and later played for the New York Giants and the New York Jets before returning to the Steelers in 2012. In the 2008 Super Bowl XLII, Burress caught the game-winning touchdown pass that made the score 17–14 in the Giants' favor. In 2014 Burress joined SportsNet, New York's SportsNite, making his debut as an NFL analyst.

Chris Snee
“Toughness, integrity, and pride” is how many who know Chris would describe him. A premier NFL guard and Giants offensive lineman for 10 years, he announced his retirement in 2014. Chris grew up in Montrose, Pennsylvania; at an early age, Chris knew he wanted to go pro, and asserted his aim to be the first from his high school to attend a Division 1 college–which he did. Chris played for his alma mater Boston College Eagles’ team, and was drafted to the Giants in 2004. Chris was instrumental to several NY Giants’s Super Bowl wins. He married Kate Coughlin, daughter of Giants coach Tom Coughlin; the couple has three sons.

Michael Smith (Moderator)
Michael Smith is a co-host for His & Hers with Jemele Hill. Smith also regularly appeared on ESPN studio programs as an NFL reporter and insider, including SportsCenter and NFL Live. He is a panelist on Around the Horn and periodically appears on Sports Reporters and First Take. Prior to joining ESPN on a full-time basis, Smith was a reporter for the Boston Globe where he served as the paper’s NFL and New England Patriots beat writer. He covered the Patriots in their first two of three Super Bowl victories.
