Every nuance in a space tells a story and nobody knows this more than acclaimed architect & designer David Rockwell, whose career has seen him responsible for renowned spaces such as Nobu, NeueHouse and Edition Hotels in addition to his success as a Tony-Award nominated set designer. Rockwell will discuss how the design of a space can affect our experiences, mood and even the work we produce with award winning restaurateur Danny Meyer. David Rockwell
David Rockwell is the founder and President of Rockwell Group, an award-winning, cross-disciplinary architecture and design practice based in New York City. Twice named as one of Fast Company’s most innovative design practices, the firm crafts a unique narrative for each project through the intersection of theater and architecture. Projects include Nobu restaurants; Chefs Club by Food & Wine; TED theater; W Hotels; Ian Schrager’s Edition New York; Elinor Bunin-Munroe Film Center at Lincoln Center; Imagination Playground; Academy Awards; Culture Shed in collaboration with Diller Scofidio + Renfro; and set design for On The Twentieth Century, Kinky Boots and Hairspray.

Danny Meyer
Danny Meyer is the CEO of Union Square Hospitality Group, which includes Union Square Cafe, Gramercy Tavern, Blue Smoke, Jazz Standard, The Modern, Maialino, Untitled, North End Grill, Marta, Porchlight, Union Square Events, and Hospitality Quotient. Pilar Guzmán
Pilar Guzmán was named editor-in-chief of Condé Nast Traveler in August 2013. Before joining Traveler, Ms. Guzmán served as the editor-in-chief of Martha Stewart Living. Under her leadership, the brand earned a National Magazine Award for General Excellence in the lifestyle category. In her previous role at Condé Nast, Ms. Guzmán served as the founding editor-in-chief of Cookie, the award-winning parenthood brand. Over her impressive career, Ms. Guzmán has held a number of senior editorial positions and has been a contributor to publications including the New York Times, I.D., Wallpaper, and Marie Claire.
