A typical American family goes to the beach. Their seemingly perfect life is turned upside-down when the mother Carol, who has long felt overlooked in her marriage, kisses a lifeguard and is caught by her husband.

Born in 1974 in Denmark, Frederikke Aspöck lives in New York where she graduated with an MFA in film directing from NYU’s Tisch School of Arts in 2004. She also holds a B.A. in set design for theatre from Wimbledon School of Art in London. She has written and directed four short films while in New York: Footsteps (1999), The Browns (2000), Lion-Tamer (2001), and Happy Now (2004), which won the Premier Prix de la Cinéfondation at the Cannes Film Festival 2004.
