What's the most important think to feel satisfaction like a filmmaker: that the audience understand your film, that the critic understand your film, that your producer understand your film?

Interesting question: Can I say all of them? If I had to take away one Id say critics, screw them, you know, I never understood the importance of the critics, it´s like asking the opinion of a "sumiller" when you want a cold beer. For me that the audience understand the film is essential, mainly that the sound is good so they understand the dialogues! Just joking, I mean there´s no movie without an audience and specially with "Neon Flesh" I always like to sneak when the movie is showing because the movie is a rollercoaster and you can really feel the energy of the audience when they are watching it, when they laugh I feel like Bela Lugosi "Laugh here! I pull the strings!" It´s a great feeling... Long story short, talking about producers, it´s great when your producer is making the same film as you are doing, when you have the same idea in mind, if the you think you are doing a slow-see the grass growing-drama and the producer thinks you are doing an action buddy movie, you are fucked....
Do you think American public would understand cultural aspects from Carne de Neón? Are they ready for Infantita?

Everybody should be ready for "Infantita" cause this transvestite rocks! I mean yes, I think what normally makes a movie special is being local and universal at the same time. That´s what makes a movie interesting and different, I think if the american audience watches "Neon Flesh" they will find the style of Ritchie or Scorsese in the way the camera moves, but the characters and the story is very from the south of Spain, from Seville, I´ve had some beers with these characters! And I´m alive to tell the story so that´s the good news!

I´m huge fan of mixing genres, sometimes I picture myself as Homer Simpson, my brain gets bored very often when I´m watching a movie, it´s like I´ve watched so many pictures when I was working on the videostore that I feel like it´s my duty to break the rules of genre and if the audience is giving you two hours of their life, that´s a precious gift so you better suprise them, thrill them, make them laugh, cry... For me that´s life, there´s no genre in life... So that´s my goal, keep playing with genres, keep looking for something new
If you have to direct a remake, which movie would you like it to be?

Wow, tricky question... I´d say any good Korean movie, I love Korean films how they mix genres, Id love to remake "Old Boy" or "The Chaser", they are funny, violent, dark... And at the same time a huge challenge, but I love challenges.
