Hey! Exciting that doc folks are hopping into the game. Some of us have been at it for a while, tweeting about our own films, other people's films and politics/how it ties into doc films. IMHO Doc film twitter streams need to encompass not just the films, but the issues those films touch on, so...

Totally agree with Nancy's suggestions. A few more I might add are @Morrie @SKilmurry @aboutdocsguide @paufder @economistfilm @twendywendy @1basil1 - All of these offer great leads on great online resources. Sometimes it can the retweeters can be as powerful in providing information as the original content providers.

Plus every doc-filmmaker should be following the Twitter accounts of any potential funders, the broader arts community, and, of course, connecting with the key Tweeps in the topic area of their docs.

Also there are places as an ifmaker to pitch, incubate your film and get it funded. @kickstarter and @juntoboxfilms this is a new one that is funding independent films and building a community of collaborative creators.
