Video: Beware the Gonzo
Anyone who roots for the underdog or considers themselves a misfit has probably found a connection with the archetypes in the films of John Hughes. The next generation of outcasts and eccentrics with something unique to say can find solace with the unique characters in Beware the Gonzo, director Bryan Goluboff's debut into the world of indie filmmaking.
The titular Gonzo (played by Ezra Miller) is a 17-year-old student who wants to start a revolution in his high school by becoming the voice of the oppressed. Spurred by his ousting from the school paper by the popular Gavin Riley (the always lovable Jesse McCartney), Gonzo becomes a rebel caused with uniting the outcasts. The more he uncovers about the injustices on campus, the more he learns that the truth comes with consequences.
In this special bonus feature with extended looks at some scenes from the film, we also hear from the stars and creators of Beware the Gonzo about the characters from and story behind the film.
Beware the Gonzo also features an against-type Amy Sedaris, Campbell Scott, and 30 Rock’s Judah Friedlander.
