2009 Doha Tribeca Film Festival Announced
Qatar Museums Authority, in conjunction with the Tribeca Film Festival, announces the first annual Doha Tribeca Film Festival. Set in the progressive Gulf state of Qatar, the festival aims to bridge the east-west divide and showcase the most innovative films from the region. What is Doha?
Doha is the capital of Qatar (Arabic: قطر), an Arab, progressive, hydrocarbon-rich country in the Middle East. Declared an independent state in 1971, Qatar is ruled by a constitutional monarchy.
