About Elly Picked Up by Here Films

By Elisabeth Donnelly

The 2009 Tribeca Film Festival Founders Award winner for Best Narrative Feature, Asghar Farhadi's Iranian mystery, About Elly will hit theaters in 2010.

About Elly (Darbareye Elly), the Iranian film about a group of friends on holiday at the Caspian Sea, was a big winner at the 2009 Tribeca Film Festival, pulling down the Founders Award for Best Narrative Feature. It capped off a grand year for director Asghar Farhadi, who also previously received the Silver Bear for directing Elly at the Berlin Film Festival.

We attended one of Farhadi's Q&A sessions at this year's Tribeca.

Thanks to Here Media (formerly Regent Releasing), you'll have the chance to see the mysterious film in theaters in 2010.
