Tribeca Cinemas Kids Club
Tribeca Cinemas Kids Club is a new family film series from the Tribeca Film Festival. From The Muppets to animation classics to live-action favorites, there's something for everyone at TC Kids Club.
"I loved Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! Before the movie even started, Tribeca had someone teach us some of the songs in the movie, so when we watched we could sing along. I love how TC Kids Club has movies every couple of weeks!"
—Nikki, 3rd grader at PS 150

I was delighted to see the article in the New York Times announcing the creation of the Tribeca Cinemas Kids Club. And I was particularly happy to see that the inaugural program included Eva Sak's "Confection." I regularly present films to a group of children from homeless families, and I always include "Confection." We focus on how a director can tell a whole story in four minutes--and the children learn how to look for the "clues" that the director and screenwriter have laid down (in regard to cinematography, setting, art design, costume, gesture, sound, and dialogue) in order to give us information that will enrich our appreciation of the characters and story. I would love to be able to tell Eva Saks how beautifully her jewel of a film works in this regard, so maybe you can pass this on for me. I hope that some day I may be able to bring the children to your cinema club so that they can see these wonderful films in a theater in New York. Sincerely, Janet Stern, Arts Council of Princeton
