Tribeca Film Unveils DVD Deal with New Video
![]()
Building on the momentum of the 2010 Tribeca Film video on demand initiative, Tribeca announced today that New Video will distribute 10 critically acclaimed titles on DVD, fresh from the Festival and a limited theatrical release.
New Video will be the exclusive distributor of titles for the Tribeca Film home video label, debuting October 26, 2010. First two up? The provocative, truth-is-stranger-than-fiction documentary The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia and the oh-so-topical, religious identity screwball comedy The Infidel. Moving forward, 1-2 titles will be released each month, building up to the 10th Anniversary 2011 Tribeca Film Festival.

The Infidel
In partnership with New Video and with the support of Founding Partner American Express, Tribeca Film is creating a more sustainable business model for independent film through multiple distribution venues, in turn broadening the potential audience for these independent filmmakers.
Tribeca COO Jon Patricof explains: “Home entertainment allows Tribeca Film to continue expanding the potential audience for our filmmakers and introducing customers to quality independent films they wouldn’t otherwise see. New Video is a great company that shares Tribeca’s goals, and we look forward to a long and mutually successful relationship.”
