We’ve shown (most of them) at the Tribeca Film Festival in NYC, they are currently available On Demand, and we’re currently enjoying a theatrical run here at Tribeca Cinemas in New York City. And now, for the first time, our initial slate of Tribeca Film titles, presented in partnership with American Express®, will be seen on the big screen in Los Angeles!

On Thursday, Tribeca announced a two-week repertory run of ten Tribeca Film titles at the Laemmle Sunset 5. “We are eager for people in Los Angeles to be able to see this vibrant and eclectic collection of films,” said Geoff Gilmore, Chief Creative Officer of Tribeca Enterprises. “At this important time of transition in the independent film business, the creation of Tribeca Film has enabled us to advance the dialogue around the ways that films are experienced helping filmmakers reach audiences and provide them access to films they would not otherwise see. And we’re delighted that our partners at Laemmle have offered a home as great as the legendary Sunset 5, where so many outstanding films over the years have entered the spotlight.”

Five films will screen at the Laemmle Sunset 5 from June 25 to July 1: The Infidel, Metropia, The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia, The Immaculate Conception of Little Dizzle, and sex & drugs & rock & roll. The remaining five will run the following week, July 2-8: My Last Five Girlfriends, Road, Movie, The Swimsuit Issue, The Trotsky, and Climate of Change. The full schedule and ticket availability will be announced in coming weeks.

The collective list of films features star turns from a variety of stars of independent and mainstream film: Andy Serkis (Gollum from The Lord of the Rings), Jay Baruchel (Tropic Thunder), Academy Award® nominee Juliette Lewis (Cape Fear, What’s Eating Gilbert Grape) and Alexander Skarsgård (HBO’s True Blood). The documentary Climate of Change is narrated by Academy Award® winner Tilda Swinton.

In the meantime all ten titles, plus an additional selection of films (TiMER, The Birth of Big Air, Kobe Doin’ Work, Muhammad and Larry, Hellfighters, and Through the Fire) are now available On Demand via various cable and online providers. A full list of providers, with a convenient Zip Code finder, is available on Tribeca’s website.

From the West Side to the West Coast, we are confident Tribeca Film has something for everyone!
