Film Society is offering an inspired double feature, which contains two of Paul Newman's most enduring films: Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and The Long, Hot Summer. While Cat on a Hot Tin Roof garnered Newman an Oscar nomination for his work opposite the sultry Elizabeth Taylor, the real treat is The Long, Hot Summer. We dare you not to get a little misty when you see Newman and his real life love, Joanne Woodward, immortalize on celluloid as the reluctant lovers Ben Quick and Clara Varner. The two were married shortly after filming and remained together until Newman's death in 2008. Buy your tickets here.
