City Island Set for Theatrical Release

Raymond De Felitta's Audience Award winner, the ensemble City Island, was one of the big hits of this year's Tribeca Film Festival. Need more proof? We were following the Audience Award closely (it was voted on after screenings by the attendees) and the Andy Garcia/Alan Arkin-starrer came out of nowhere, surging past Racing Dreams (which had loads of standing ovations) and Midgets Vs. Mascots to take the prize on the Festival's closing day. Thanks to Anchor Bay Films, you'll have a chance of seeing it theatrically in late 2009/early 2010.
De Felitta's blog, Movies 'Til Dark, has more information.

Another amazing film that will be the talk of the town is 'Suing the Devil' coming out next year - Malcolm McDowell plays the devil!
