FILM GUIDE WILLOWBROOK

In 1964, a young pediatrician begins his residency at Willowbrook State School in Staten Island, only to discover that the institution is conducting Army-funded experiments on developmentally disabled children. Based on true events, Willowbrook addresses the awful conditions in which people with developmental disabilities were warehoused and the controversial research experiments that took place in the 1960s.

About the Director(s)

Ross Cohen was born and raised in Liverpool and moved to LA to earn his MFA in film at USC, where he interned with Paul Thomas Anderson and Quentin Tarantino. He was awarded the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Production Grant to direct Willowbrook and is prepping his feature directorial debut to shoot in the fall.

RUSH SALES POLICY

When tickets for a screening or event are no longer available, they will be listed as RUSH. The Rush system functions as a stand-by line that will form at the venue approximately 45 minutes prior to scheduled start time. Admittance is based on availability and will begin 15 minutes prior to program start time. Rush Tickets are the same price as advance tickets payable upon entry. There is a limit of one Rush Ticket per person.
