Watch: Tribeca Talks Industry Panels
Every year at the Tribeca Film Festival, we try to bring you things you can't see anywhere else—and we don't stop at just movies. For our 10th year, we wanted to offer a series of panels that we knew would take audiences beyond the sheer thrill and entertainment of watching a film in a dark theater and plop them right in the middle of a timely conversation. We reached out to filmmakers, social activists, authors, avant garde artists, musicians, and educators to take the conversation off the screen and straight into the seats of Tribeca theaters.
Of the 19 Tribeca Talks and After the Movie conversations that took place all across downtown Manhattan, we've put together an archive of 10 videos for your viewing pleasure. Below are four of the Tribeca Talks Industry panels, available right now at Tribeca (Online)'s Live From... channel.
Tribeca Talks: The Business of Entertainment
Bloomberg's inaugural Business of Entertainment program features two in-depth interviews with top industry CEOs. Hosted by one of the world's leading interviewers, Charlie Rose, the program kicks off with a conversation with Time Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes, who served as the CEO of HBO and Time Warner's Entertainment and Networks group before ascending to the top role at the company. Mr. Rose then interviews Joe Roth, a legendary Hollywood producer, director, and former head of the Disney and Fox studios.
Together, the perspectives of Mr. Bewkes and Mr. Roth, aided by the probing questions of Charlie Rose, paint a fascinating picture of the future of the entertainment business. Watch it now!

Amplify the Message: Social Media
Social media has changed the way we interact with the world around us. These days, filmmakers don't just need a press kit and a Web site; they need a social media presence. How should producers and directors engage with this new interactive audience and how much of an impact does this audience have on a movie's success or failure on multiple platforms? This panel is moderated by Marc Schiller, CEO and Founder of Electric Artists. Panelists include Rider Strong, director/screenwriter of The Dungeon Master, Howard Tullman, President & CEO of Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy, and Lina Srivastava, Principal of Lina Srivastava Consulting LLC.
