TribecaFilm.com Nominated for a Webby!

As if the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival being right around the corner isn't enough to get excited about, we've also been nominated for the Oscar of Web Awards: The Webby!

In the lovely email notification we received from our new best friend David-Michel Davies, Executive Director of The Webby Awards, he told us, "It is our pleasure to inform you that Tribeca Film has been nominated for The 14th Annual Webby Awards in the Events category. As one of only five nominees in its category, your work and the team behind it are eligible for the Internet industry's two most sought-after awards: The Webby Award and The Webby People's Voice Award." (Can you tell we are blushing? That's why the site is pink.)

Because there is a People's Choice component to this contest, WE NEED YOUR VOTE! Please go to the page for the Best Website: Events category, register for the site, and vote, vote, vote! (Well, you can only actually vote once, but you can do it as many times as you want in your head.)

TribecaFilm.com Nominated for a Webby Award!

We are up against some heavy hitters, in one case, literally: WorldSeries.com, Ted.com, USOpen.org, and TheFair.com. We love them all, but PLEASE don't vote for them; use your precious vote on us. (You love movies best, right?) Voting ends on April 29, so please vote today. When we win, we will thank you all one by one in our acceptance speech... (Not really, but, again, in our heads, it's true!)

While we're talking about accolades, we'd like to take this chance to thank the many readers who make up the growing Tribeca community. Whether on Facebook, on Twitter, at the Festival, or right here at TribecaFilm.com, we treasure your participation. See you at the Festival!
