March 15 Film Festival Guide by X on March 05, 2010 10:02 AM
If it's not available online until April, how will we access it when it goes live on March 15? We're looking to package tickets.

The Festival Film Guide will go live on March 15, so you can start looking at the films. The TFF screenings schedule will be posted soon after that. If you have bought a ticket package, you can request the screenings you want during the week of fulfillment in early April. Let us know if you have more questions!
Sadly the festival has changed by Ilene Smith on March 08, 2010 09:56 AM
I was an early supporter of the film festival, attending the first few years and encouraging my friends to join me. I'd see 3-5 films each festival. But it saddens me that I haven't been able to go the last few years but the festival is no longer for people like me -- Uptowners who want to enjoy the downtown Tribeca experience (wasn't that why the festival was established in the first place?). Since I'm not an Amex "member," I have found that every film I've wanted to see has been sold out. In fact, I stopped trying last year. And I don't plan to try this year. I'm so happy the festival has grown but so sad I can no longer partake.

The online film guide will go up next Monday, March 15. Ilene, we are sorry you have had problems getting tickets, but tickets do not all sell out during the early onsale for American Express Cardmembers. Also, we often release tickets throughout the Festival, and we will announce these on the site, on Twitter, and on Facebook, so please sign up with us in one of those places so you can get breaking news! Looking forward to TFF 2010!

Ticket Packages by Edward on March 09, 2010 07:19 AM
If I buy the Harrison Ticket Package ($250.00)will I be able to select any film at any time. Lets say the Ed burns film on opening night
Ticket Packages by Box Office on March 09, 2010 08:46 AM
Both of our early selection ticket packages (the Franklin or the Harrison) include only films that fall under the Evening/Weekend or Matinee/Late Night ticket types. Gala screenings and Tribeca Talks events do not fall under these ticket packages. Gala screenings are by invitation only and tickets for Tribeca Talks events will go on sale April 13 for American Express Cardmembers. Enjoy the festival and keep the questions coming!
TFFV and On Demand questions by Nancy on March 10, 2010 01:04 PM
How soon will I be able to find out which films will be in the virtual festival so that I hopefully do not buy in-person tickets for them? Is Time Warner Cable NYC participating in the On Demand
Audience Pick's Packages by Allan Parsons on March 10, 2010 01:40 PM
Last year I purchased a ticket package to the 2009 Award Winners Screenings Package, and the tickets were priced around $50/package. Will this package be available again this year? If so, when?
TFFV and On Demand answers! by Editors on March 10, 2010 01:45 PM
Hi Nancy -- Two of the films in TFFV were announced today: Buried Land and Freetime Machos. And Nice Guy Johnny was announced last week. The rest will be announced next week. The On Demand partners will also be announced in the coming weeks. Regardless, you won't be able to make individual ticket purchases until April, so this will all be sorted out by then.
Ticket Type For a Specific Film by ZoeFilm on March 10, 2010 07:22 PM
I want to be sure to see a specific film. Before purchasing the Harrison Package when it becomes available on March 15th, how can I tell if that specific film will be included as an evening/weekend or matinee/late night film, so that my Harrison Package gives me the opportunity to select it?

Which hotels are offering discounts or which hotels are located in the area of the festival?
Tickets by Savanna on March 11, 2010 10:36 PM
It seems like each year, getting a ticket to TFF gets more and more convoluted. Last year, passes required viewers buy 2 tickets to each screening. I'm single and didn't need two tickets to each screening. This year, you have to buy a package and we don't know if what movies will be available (I don't have AmEx - so the movies are generally sold out-last year was particularly bad). I have to tell you, I've given up on attending TFF. Please simplify the ticket purchasing or I'll have to just bypass TFF from now on.
Daytime packages by Lisa on March 12, 2010 06:08 AM
Sure do miss the discount daytime passes. They were great and the current packages are just too expensive in this economy.
Daytime passes by Editors on March 12, 2010 07:08 AM
Hi Lisa -- The daytime passes are back! Info was just posted about discount ticket packages: http://www.tribecafilm.com/festival/tickets/Discount_Ticket_Packages.html
Complicated! by Katie on March 15, 2010 07:27 AM
Why are all the packages aimed at couples?! I'm coming over from England on my own for the festival, but I'm starting to get increasingly worried that I'm not going to be able to attend much of it due to not being an Amex cardholder, not being able to afford a ticket package (unlike Amex cardholders!), and having to purchase whatever is left of the tickets on the very late date of 19th April. Also, there really doesn't seem to be much information about what films are actually being screened and it doesn't help that the website is not particularly user-friendly. I can't work out how we are supposed to know whether to buy matinee/late-night/documentary package tickets without actually knowing what is being screened and when..? This is the most complicated ticket arrangement for any film festival I have ever been to!
Film Guide by Editors on March 15, 2010 05:41 PM
Hi Katie -- The FILM GUIDE is now live: www.tribecafilm.com/filmguide, so you see all the films. The screening schedule will go up sometime next week. Hope you are finding the site more user-friendly now, but remember, it's still five weeks away, and no one can buy individual tickets until April 13 at the earliest. Keep giving us feedback - thanks!

We have a list of our sponsor hotels here: http://www.tribecafilm.com/festival/details/Travel_Sponsors_2010.html Not sure about discounts yet, but check them out!

The Short films program will be announced later this week. Thanks for asking!
Can you get tickets for a the shows and talks by Caley Powell on April 08, 2010 04:17 AM
Hi. I'm currently on work experience at Hubbard Casting and Amy Hubbard wants to attend The Tribeca Film Festival and see the screening and the talks after, so what ticket should she get? I've looked at all the options and they all seem to exclude the talks and Q & A's afterwards but she wants to go to them as well as the films. Please contact her assitant Lily on lily@hubbardcasting.com

Hi -- All individual tickets go on sale on Tuesday, 4/13 for American Express® Cardmembers. Tribeca Talks: After the Movie screenings are not available through ticket packages. See you on Tuesday!
Too expensive, too elitist, too superficial by Cecile on April 15, 2010 12:01 AM
I've attended TFF for couple of years. I am very disappointed that the tickets are so expensive even though you have different packages for the daily pass screening. I've asked to one of my friend who is american express card holder to get me some ticket pass for specific screening on the first sales date, he was not able to get me Freakonomics as well as road movie. Also, if I want to attend to only matinee screenings I have to make a hard choice which one I have to pass. Some films are screened at the same time. This year would be my last year because it is too expensive, Amex card member have the priority, as well as downtown rich guys, GIVE ME A BREAK. GO to Lincoln Center, new directors new film, BAM, FILM forum and ignore this superficial "Festival"
Not as inclined by Bklyn on April 24, 2010 09:09 AM
I have found it too hard to navigate the listings, and too expensive to go to the shows anymore. Also would prefer more innovation in the programming. Good idea though-
