Showtime for TFF 2009 Bon Jovi Doc

Bon Jovi

Did you miss the rockin' premiere of Bon Jovi: When We Were Beautiful at the 2009 Tribeca Film Festival? It was an event not to be missed (check out Kristin McCracken's recap here), as Jon and Tico and Dave and Richie all made appearances. This movie is better than a concert, and the fired-up crowd cheered and screamed for the live performances and candid, revealing interviews.

If you missed it at TFF, this is the news you've been waiting for. You'll get your chance to see photographer Phil Griffin's lovingly lensed documentary when Showtime premieres it on Saturday, October 24 at 9:00 pm. So order some premium cable, fire up the 50-inch plasma, and get ready for Jon Bon Jovi, Tico Torres, Dave Bryan, and Richie Sambora in concert right in your living room!

You can also celebrate 25 years (holy cow! Jon agrees: "I am not just a guy in a rock band. I am the CEO of a major corporation who has been running a brand for 25 years") of Bon Jovi with the 192-page companion book, also titled When We Were Beautiful. It's due to be released from Harper Collins on October 27. There's also a new album in the works, The Circle, slated for November 10.

Bon Jovi is celebrating a quarter-century in a blaze of glory, with total media domination.
