Joan Rivers Doc at 92YTribeca

We interviewed comedy icon Joan Rivers yesterday about her biodoc Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work, which screened at TFF 2010 and opens theatrically at IFC Center on June 11. (She was in deliciously rare form at the Tribeca Talks panel that followed one screening. You can watch the whole panel online, too!)
However, fans who just can't wait a whole 2 weeks can get a sneak peek of Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work at 92YTribeca on Tuesday, June 1, at 7:30 pm. Tickets are going fast, so get yours today!
About the film: filmmakers Ricki Stern and Annie Sundberg spent a no-holds-barred year with Rivers, and the (now) 77-year-old workaholic shows no signs of slowing down. The film traces the highs and lows of Rivers' entertaining career, without a single "Can we talk?" cliche. And in a press roundtable yesterday (full article to come), Ms. Rivers was as raunchy and hilarious as ever, and she wore terrific shoes. We think they were Chanel, but we can't be sure...
