Every year for as long as I can remember I have gone to the Tribeca Family Festival Street Fair, and it has always been a great time! This year, James and I hung out for a couple hours with Tribeca Kids Access, and got to do a lot of cool things!
Once everyone had met up at BMCC, we went up to where the younger kids were blowing bubbles and watching an amusing magic show. James and I had fun creating our own massive bubbles, and we tried interviewing a little boy, but he was too involved with his bubbles to pay any attention to us. Afterwards we headed down to the BMCC courtyard and went around to a few of the different activities and stands set up. My favorite thing down there was getting my hair spray painted, which I have made a tradition of doing every year! Two kids from the elementary school I went to (P.S.150) were doing the spraying to raise money for the school, and I was their first customer! James refused, but he convinced Frank, the cameraman we were with to get his beard colored red, and it was so funny James was literally rolling on the floor laughing! Another really entertaining thing we did was going to a TaeKwonDo performance, where kids of all ages got to show off their awesome forms and wood breaking skills. I could never be half as good as they were, which I demonstrated when one of the kids who performed tried to teach James and I a move – I failed miserably!
The Tribeca Family Festival Street Fair never lets me down, and I definitely think it’s one of the best things to do with kids – or adults! – in the world!

Buenos Diaz People!
On the 1st of May 2010, I went to report on the Tribeca Family Festival Street Fair. My partner Margaret and I introduced ourselves to the camera and got to work. There were many activities for kids to choose from and many people as we walked around.
I interviewed Marcus, a friend of mine from PS 234. I asked him ‘Why are you here today?” He replied saying “my sister (Aoife) is doing a dance performance today.” There was face-painting, some bands, great activities and many free things, like granola and bandannas.
Being a reporter was so much fun and it was a great experience for me. I really hope that I get to do Tribeca Kids Access at least one more time. I think everybody had a magnificent time doing their job (including the camera crew). I believe being chosen for Tribeca Kids Access is a great honor for everybody involved.

Hi, it’s AJ,
On Saturday, May 1, I went to the Street Fair for The Tribeca Film Festival. There were a lot of fun things to do there. I went to a concert and I participated in a Tae Kwon Do performance. There were some cool things to do at ESPN, also spent two or three hours working at a fundraiser for my school, spraying people’s hair with red, blue, green, purple, and pink hair dye. A lot of people from the 5th grade in my school helped out.
After that Amelia and I interviewed the actor Ray Liotta. He played the dad in the movie Snowmen, and was really nice during the interview. We also interviewed Josh Flitter, who is Jason, the bully, in the movie. We asked him, “If you could break one world record, what would it be?” We asked him this question because it related to the movie. He said, “I would break the world record for being the best looking kid. But I already broke that.”
After interviewing them, I saw the movie with a bunch of friends. It was a really good movie and had many great qualities. I really liked the ending and I was happy that Billy (the main character) broke the world record for … why don’t you see the movie for yourself.
Saturday was a great day with all the fun things I did.
Bye for now!
