On Thursday, I got to go to the Drive-In premiere of the movie “The Spirit Of Salsa” with Kiara, and it was great! We got some mini salsa lessons from one of the principle dancers in the movie. I think the key is in the hips! Another thing that can really help you to be a good salsa dancer is, of course, experience. One of the dancers we interviewed had been dancing since she was two years old! There was a band on the stage, warming everybody up playing authentic salsa music for the dancers. There was even a salsa competition! One thing I was surprised to learn was that there were lots salsa dancers in Tribeca. Lots of the dancers who came on-stage were just people who had heard about the drive in and wanted to be a part of it!
